Javan sunbird

Female javan sunbird (Aethopyga mystacalis), in Kiskendho, Kulonprogo, Jogjakarta. Like many other sunbirds, this java endemic sunbird is protected despite its fairly large population. Sunbirds are key agent in pollinating flowers which is key in agriculture and food production.

Endemic tailorbird

Olive-nacked talorbird (Orthotomus sepium) in Jatimulyo, Kulonprogo, Jogjakarta. This tiny bird is endemic to Java and Bali, feeds on insects, worm and spiders.
